Cleat Detail

Wood Mounting Cleats

These wood cleats are made from pressure treated material 3/4" thick. They are what is commonly called a "French Cleat" used to hang cabinets or other wall mounted items. They can be attached to the back of the bat house while on the ground and you only have to put two small cleats on the mounting surface. Then it is much simpler to carry the bat house up a ladder and hang it.

The design is best suited for flat surfaces but is is easy to adapt a clap board sided surface or other surface with a minimum amount of work. All bat house manuals include guidelines for using these cleats.

These Cleats are already included with our finished bat houses as noted in description.
